When I found out I was type 2 diabetic
I am a 41 year old male and was told by my doctor my glucose level was too high after having a blood test. It read 17mmol which my doctor said was too high and that I am a type 2 diabetic.
I admit I didn’t take it too seriously and it didn’t sink through until a week later that I won’t be able to eat the foods I once enjoyed.
I take Formet 500mg tablets twice a day with food. In my family it’s on both sides of my mother and father’s family but I never thought that maybe one day I could be a diabetic.
I have suffered with obesity and a lot of problems trying to lose weight with different diets. I was a heavy drinker and smoker and tended to eat all the wrong types of foods which did not help at all.
My Doctor had warned me of my high cholesterol levels and triglycerides and was taking Lipitor and still do -but never considered a balanced diet to keep my levels to a low.
Since being a diabetic now I suffer with tingly sensation feelings in the bottoms of my feet and at times throughout my body but now I have taken everything seriously and gone on a special diet to keep me healthier and more stable.
I know now I can lead a normal life by taking extra care of my health and body.
