Keeping work with diabetes
Hello, I’m 43 and I’v had diabetes type 2 since 1998-1999.
Before I found out I had diabeates I was calling in sick at the job I was on, they let me go and when they found out I had diabetes they gave me a 2nd chance and had no other problem with that job.
Nowadays I’m unemployed due to my diabetes.
The last job I was on there was about 3-4 months during which I didn’t have any medications for my diabetes. My supervisor gave me a bad review on a call that I did and I snapped at him and told him that the review was BS. I took off my headset in anger, slammed a few things and left because it was time for me to go.
All of these events happend in December and in January of this year.
I was let go do to performace issue/anger management issues.
Two of my supervisors knew that I had diabetes.
Right now I am not working because I haven’t felt good, no energy to really go out and look for work, I have trouble sleeping at nights and deal with a lot of depression, with not a lot of people to support to help me.
Is there any way that I could sue my former employer for letting me go under the circumstances???
Anyway – that’s my sad little story.
