  • The Australian Centre for Behavioural Research in Diabetes (ACBRD) is the first national research centre in Australia and internationally, dedicated to investigating the behavioural, psychological and social aspects of diabetes.

The Centre’s focus is improving the quality of life of all people with diabetes and their families.

The Centre, established in 2010, is a partnership for better health between Diabetes Victoria and Deakin University.

The ACBRD is a team of academic researchers specialising in behavioural diabetes research, working in an applied setting, as a result of a partnership for better health between Diabetes Victoria and Deakin University. Each team member has various qualifications, experience (years, depth and breadth), and memberships of various organisations. See ‘our team’ page on our website for details.
